Information on all aspects of medical care for the pregnant woman, together with advanced gynaecological services, can be accessed through the RCSI Fetal Centre. General Practitioners, midwives and obstetricians are frequently asked by patients for information about, and access to, a range of tests and treatments.

Ann's background is as a midwife sonographer having trained in the National Maternity
Hospital. Ann has worked in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Royal College
of Surgeons in Ireland, Rotunda Hospital from 2006 to present. This has provided an
outstanding experience in all aspects of Fetal medicine. In parallel Ann joined the academic
staff at UCD in 2013 on a part time basis. Ann is course and module coordinator within the
postgraduate Obstetric & Gynaecology Ultrasound Programmes and Fertility Programmes
for UCD, Ann's research interests cover all aspects of Obstetric & Gynaecology ultrasound.
Ann has presented at national and international conferences such as the British Medical
Ultrasound Society. Ann is also published in International medical journals.

Claire qualified as a Midwife from National Maternity Hospital in 2000 and completed her
Higher Diploma in Diagnostic Imaging in UCD in 2005/2006. She has been working in the
area of Fetal Medicine since both in National Maternity Hospital and here in the RCSI unit
since 2010.

Sophie graduated from the faculty of Science & Health in DCU with a level 8 honours Bachelor degree.
She has extensive experience in health screening along with 10 years phlebotomy experience.

Shelly has numerous years of experience as Patient Services Manager with “RCSI Fetal
Centre” having a business degree and a strong medical background having also worked in
the medical profession the USA for many years. She has contributed to both the RCSI
Medical student programme and Research programme. Shelly has overall responsibility for
coordinating all patient resources to optimize operational efficiencies and ensure the
smooth and efficient running of the clinic’s, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team at all times.

responsible for the efficient processing of Accounts within the department. She is part of
the administrative team supporting medical colleagues and patients to ensure the efficient
running of Obstetric clinics within the department. She has previously worked as part of
administrative teams supporting both Infertility and Gynaecology clinics within the Rotunda
Hospital. Suzanne was awarded a Graduateship in Marketing and Business Studies from
the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 1997.

Suzanne is our Teaching Programme Coordinator for SC1 (MED4) RCSI OBGYN students.
Her duties include organising the teaching programme and peripheral placements at our
affiliated sites in Dublin and throughout the country. She also schedules and provides
assistance on the SC1 End of Rotation and End of Year exams.
